I recently saw a video recommending ‘movies you never knew existed,’ and 1408 (2007) was the one that caught my attention. 1408 (2007) is based off a short story written by Stephen King and has similar elements of scary, as his other infamous story, The Shining (1977). Also, this movie felt like a Twilight Zone episode, as it had an old horror style that was blended into new horror style rather well.
1408 (2007) is an interesting piece on grief and how the effects of suppressing it may unravel in the waking life. John Cusack is absolutely great and impressive, as he stands alone for much of the film. There was a well done sequence that was like another good horror movie called, Grave Encounters 2 (2012), where the protagonist endured a clever twist. Overall, highly recommend with a 9 out of 10, for any horror film fanš
