“What to watch,” was Google’s top asked question in 2022 and I will admit I have asked this myself several times. The question isn’t easily answered, as each individual has many different preferences. Also, considering the fact that the flood of streaming has made it challenging to find options that resonate with every individual viewer. So let’s ask this question with various moods and hopefully you will find your answer.
What to watch … when you are:
Alone: I would recommend to watch something nostalgic to you and that always brought a smile to your face. Some of mine are: Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), Spice World (1997), The Office (TV Series 2005-2013), The Hobbit (Film Series 2012-2014), and Harry Potter (Film Series 2001- 2011).
Stressed/Worried: Stay away from thrillers and horrors, instead search for comedy or a Christmas movie. For example: Snowglobe (2007), Elf (2003), Revenge of Bridesmaids (2010), Home Alone (1990), and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992).
Sad: Same as stressed/worried, stay away from any content that makes you feel more uneasy feelings. Search for uplifting content like a series about traveling and exploring a new culture, cooking shows, or a good comedy.
Bored: I would recommend turn off the tv and play music instead. Dance, bake, or make a diy project you saved to do later. Movement will give you clarity and after you will find that you don’t really need to watch anything after all.
I hope my post gave you a few ideas on what to watch when you have no idea ‘what to watch’ and let me know what you would recommend to watch.
